Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s recently released horror comedy, Stree 2, has emerged as a humongous blockbuster at the global box office. The film has come across as a huge relief to the distributors and exhibitors who have been battered by a series of high-budget failures in the past few months.

As per the latest updates from Bollywood trade circles, Stree 2 has stormed into the Rs 300 crore nett club in the Indian market alone. The film is performing on par with some of the recent Bollywood blockbusters, such as Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. While Stree 2 entered the Rs 300 crore club in 8 days, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (8 days), Animal (7 days), Pathaan (7 days), and Jawan (6 days) are its close predecessors. Stree 2 is expected to amass nearly Rs 500 crore nett in its full-run.

Globally, Stree 2 has amassed over Rs 450 crore and is all set to enter the Rs 500 crore club. The Amar Kaushik directorial also features Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. Maddock Films banner has bankrolled the film.
