The other day, there was buzz that Prime Video acquired the digital rights of Kalki 2898 AD’s South Indian versions for a mind-boggling 150 crores. This Prabhas starrer sci-fi entertainer is being directed by Nag Ashwin.
The latest buzz in the Tollywood film circles is that the Hindi version’s digital rights are sold for a jaw-dropping price of 175 crores. Though multiple platforms tried hard to bag the Hindi rights, Netflix is said to have acquired this tent-pole film’s post-theatrical streaming rights (Hindi only).
If this buzz turns out to be true, it will be one of the biggest digital deals in Indian cinema. Along with Prabhas, the film also has Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani in vital roles. Kamal Haasan played a guest role.
