Superstar Rajinikanth’s next on-screen appearance will be in the action drama Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame. The movie is slated for a grand release on 10th October, clashing with Suriya’s Kanguva. Rajini wrapped up his portions for Vettaiyan and is now working on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial Coolie.

The director gave the career-biggest hits for Thalapathy Vijay and Kamal Haasan, and hence Rajini fans are pretty excited for Coolie. As per the latest buzz, Kannada Superstar Upendra will make a cameo appearance in this big-ticket entertainer. It is said that Upendra danced to a grand crowd song along with Superstar Rajinikanth in this flick, set against the gold smuggling backdrop.

An official confirmation about Upendra’s presence is yet to come. Coolie is being produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the soundtrack. A schedule of Coolie has recently commenced in the picturesque Vizag city. Shruti Haasan is said to be playing a vital role. Lokesh is presenting Rajinikanth in a grey-shaded role in this film.
