Superstar Rajinikanth is playing a special role in Lal Salaam, which is based on Cricket and Communism. Rajini’s daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is wielding the megaphone. The movie is actually scheduled for Sankranti 2024 release.

But the latest buzz suggests that the movie might not make it to the festival. Already, Dhanush’s Captain Miller and Siva Karthikeyan’s Ayalaan are slated for Sankranti release, and if Lal Salaam too releases, there might be a shortage of theatres in Tamilnadu. Also, many films are scheduled for release in Telugu, and it will be difficult for Lal Salaam to get theatres in Telugu states.

However, there is no official confirmation from the Lal Salaam team about the postponement. Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are essaying the lead roles. Indian former captain Kapil Dev, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, and Nirosha are playing key roles. Subaskaran of Lyca Productions is producing this flick. Academy winner AR Rahman is composing the tunes.
