Curfew in Hyderabad puts Pushpa 2 promotional plans in peril

Icon Star Allu Arjun is gearing up for the much-anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and set to release on December 5, 2024. The film is expected to make a significant splash in theaters, being released across an unprecedented number of screens worldwide.

However, a recent curfew imposed by the Telangana government from October 28 to November 28, 2024, could create obstacles for the film’s promotional activities. The Commissioner of Police has issued a public notice banning gatherings of five or more individuals, as well as processions, dharnas, and public meetings throughout Hyderabad and Secunderabad, in an effort to maintain public order amid potential unrest.

As a result of the curfew, the Pushpa 2 team faces significant challenges in organising a pre-release event in Hyderabad, a crucial aspect of their promotional strategy. With gatherings prohibited and public demonstrations restricted, the filmmakers may need to consider relocating the event to Andhra Pradesh or exploring alternative promotional strategies to engage fans and build excitement ahead of the film’s release.

Pushpa 2 features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, alongside notable actors Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Brahmaji. Produced on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers, with music by Devi Sri Prasad, fans are eagerly awaiting further updates on the promotional plans as the release date draws near.
