Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has been in a new lease of life with a massive triumph of Pathaan and Jawan. Also, Jawan created a sensation with a humongous 1154 crores gross worldwide and became the top Indian grosser in 2023. Basking in these accomplishments, Shah Rukh Khan turned over a new leaf from mass action roles and did a classy role in Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial Dunki.

The movie, which clashed with Prabhas’ Salaar, received a mixed word of mouth at its inception. But it’s purely Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom that is drawing audiences to the theatres. Crossing 400 crores gross at the box office worldwide, the movie is now inching towards the 500 crores club. Even in Overseas, the movie raked up 20 million dollars, displaying the supremity of the actor in international markets.

Though the numbers are not tremendous for a big star like Shah Rukh, whose ambit is monumental, they are good for a social comedy-drama like Dunki, considering its release time and genre.
