Hero Nani was the chief guest at the pre-release event of Nabha Natesh and Priyadarshi’s upcoming comedy entertainer, Darling. In a speech that was straight from his heart, the Saripodhaa Sanivaaram actor wished that Darling would become a big hit like Hanu-Man, both produced by Niranjan Reddy.
“Darling’s teaser and trailer are quite entertaining. I’m told that the movie is based on the split personality disorder of the ‘Lady Aparichitudu’ character played by Nabha. I can imagine the amount of comedy generated by her character. Nabha survived a major accident during the film’s shoot. I’m sure Darling will bring her a new change in her career,” said the Natural Star.
Nani went on to say that he believes in Priyadarshi’s eye for scouting new talent and that Darling director Ashwin Raam’s talent is evident in the teaser and trailer. “I found a good friend in Darshi. I’m a private person and don’t usually interact with a lot of people. But I bonded well with Darshi during Hi Nanna’s Goa schedule,” said Nani.
Nani highlighted a crucial aspect of the changing genres in Telugu cinema over the past few years. “We have been mostly making action dramas and ignoring comedy and love genres. We are boring the audience by limiting them to one genre. I came with love and emotion (Ante Sundaraniki) last year, and Darshi is now coming up with love and comedy,” said Nani. Darling is slated for release on July 19.
