The third season of Indian Idol Telugu is currently streaming on the Aha OTT platform. Hero Vijay Deverakonda was the chief guest for one of the soon-to-be aired episodes of this season. The episode’s shooting was held recently, and an undisclosed gesture of Vijay’s compassion during Covid times was revealed during the shoot and touched everyone’s hearts.

In the episode, Sneha, a prominent transgender activist, revealed that she had approached Vijay’s The Deverakonda Foundation and sought assistance for her community during the Covid lockdown. She emotionally recollected how Vijay promptly responded within just 16 minutes and extended support to Sneha’s family and the transgender community through his foundation.

Vijay’s humanitarian initiative has significantly impacted the lives of 18 individuals belonging to the transgender community in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Another family from Markapur thanked the actor for helping their son’s recovery following a series of major surgeries after an accident.

Vijay launched The Deverakonda Foundation during the COVID-19 lockdown with a mission to assist poor and middle-class families impacted by the pandemic. The foundation received Rs. 2 crores in funds from across the country, including a generous donation of Rs. 1 crore labeled ‘Middle Class Funds’ from Vijay Deverakonda himself. Vijay thanked all the donors whose contributions helped The Deverakonda Foundation assist over 6,000 families during those tough times.
