Intense first look poster of Varun Tej’s Matka released

Matka, the first pan-Indian venture for Mega Prince Varun Tej, is making waves with the release of its first look poster. Directed by Karuna Kumar, the film features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi as the female leads and is currently in production as a high-budget project.

In the poster, Varun Tej as Vasu exudes a commanding and intense presence. Dressed in a dark pinstriped suit with a red tie, his classic look is complemented by slicked-back hair, a thick mustache, and gold accessories. His piercing gaze and stern expression project both confidence and menace. The retro gangster vibe is accentuated by his relaxed pose in a leather chair, while elements like the spade symbol and poker setup hint at a high-stakes world of crime or gambling, underscoring his dominance and authority. The reflection image showcases a younger, more aggressive Varun Tej, radiating a fierce ambition to conquer and control.

Spanning from 1958 to 1982, the film recreates the atmosphere of Vizag and its surroundings from that era with meticulously crafted sets. The cast also includes Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, P Ravi Shankar, and others in key roles. Produced by Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment, the movie features a soundtrack by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
