Renowned Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, last seen in the sports drama Mr & Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma, faced disappointment at the box office. However, she’s back in the spotlight with her upcoming Hindi venture, Ulajh.
The spy thriller was initially slated for release on July 5, 2024, but the makers have pushed the theatrical debut of Ulajh to August 2, 2024, citing undisclosed reasons.
Directed by the national award-winning filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria and scripted by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi, with Vineet Jain producing.
In addition to her Bollywood commitments, Janhvi Kapoor is expanding her horizons into Telugu cinema. Her Tollywood debut, Devara: Part 1, with Jr NTR as the lead, is scheduled for release on September 27, 2024. Additionally, she is gearing up to commence filming her second Telugu project (RC 16) alongside Ram Charan in August 2024. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has the esteemed A R Rahman on board as the music composer.
