After winning the hearts of millions of movie buffs around the globe in cinemas, Tollywood’s epic blockbuster, Kalki 2898 AD, is now available on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for home audiences. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, this mega superhit movie has been confirmed to have a sequel.

Earlier, Nag Ashwin revealed that the sequel’s pre-production is underway, and in another interview, producer Ashwini Dutt mentioned that the movie will be released either in August or September 2025.

However, producer Swapna Dutt has now stated that filming will begin in January or February 2025, with the release scheduled for 2028. This statement has left fans in shock, as many are wondering if they really have to wait around four more years to watch the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD on big screens.

The Prabhas-starrer flick will also feature a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and others. Vyjayanthi Movies will produce this sequel with a substantial investment, and Santhosh Narayanan will handle the music.
