There’s no stopping Kalki 2899 AD, the high budget sci-fi drama featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The Nag Ashwin directorial was released on June 27 and has erased several box office records in its opening weekend. The Kalki storm is yet to cease, as the film has pulled off a new record on day 5 at the ticket counters across the world.

As per the latest trade reports, Kalki 2898 AD grossed a solid Rs 70 crore at the global box office on Monday (July 1). This is the highest ever global collection on a Monday by any Telugu movie till date. Kalki has now entered the Rs 600 crore club on its 5th day, and the film’s cumulative 5-day total gross collection is about Rs 625 crore. The film is defying all expectations and is fast approaching the Rs 1,000 crore club.

Also starring Indian cinema legends Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, Sobhana, Disha Patani, Anna Ben, Pasupathy, and several other prominent stars in key roles, Kalki 2898 AD is produced by veteran producer Ashwini Dutt. Santhosh Narayanan is the film’s music composer.
