Star created a huge buzz with its trailer and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music took the hype to the next level. It was released last month in theaters and received mixed responses from critics and the audience. However the film’s solid hype made it a safe venture at the ticket windows.

After its theatrical run, the makers released the film on Amazon Prime last night. Right now, the film is only streaming in Tamil audio with English subtitles. There is no information about Telugu dubbing, though.

Star follows the tale that follows the different stages of Kavin’s life, where he skillfully portrays various roles, including a lady getup. Kavin has been praised for his commendable performance.

Directed by Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame, the cast of Star includes Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundan, Lal, and Geetha Kailasam. The cinematography is by Ezhil Arasu K, and the editing is by Pradeep E Ragav. The film was produced by B.V.S.N Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar.
