Kavya Thapar is one of the most popular heroines in Telugu cinema these days. She was last seen in Double Ismart and Gopichand’s Viswam, which ended up as a flop at the box office.

Recently, the young actress shared an amusing story about the Telugu word “RANDI.” During the shoot of one of her first films, Kavya was sitting with her mother when the assistant director (AD) approached them and said, “Randi, shot ready ayyindi.”

Upon hearing the word RANDI, Kavya was initially offended, as she misunderstood it due to its different meaning in Hindi. She went to the producer and told her that the AD had called her RANDI.

Kavya recalled that her producer laughed and explained that RANDI in Telugu means “Please come” and is a respectful term. For those unfamiliar, RANDI means “sex worker” in Hindi.

This simple word, which carries a respectful meaning in Telugu, caused Kavya some initial embarrassment. She shared this funny incident in an interview with Ariana Glory.
