Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took cinephiles by surprise by renaming Nandi Awards as Gaddar Awards. Hereafter, these awards will be presented every year by the Telangana government on Gaddar’s birth anniversary. The CM’s decision was lauded by admirers of the multifaceted poet.

Later, Megastar Chiranjeevi asked the Producer’s Council and Film Chamber to take the initiative and assist the Telangana government. Here is the latest development regarding Gaddar Awards. The government formed a committee that will work on setting up the logo, procedures, and rules for Gaddar Awards. B. Narsingha Rao was appointed as the Chairman, while Dil Raju was given the Vice-Chairman position of this committee.

K. Raghavendra Rao, Ande Sri, Thammareddy Bharadwaja, Allu Aravind, Gummadi Vennela, Tanikella Bharani, Daggubati Suresh Babu, Chandrabose, Narayanamurthy, Vandemataram Srinivas, Allani Sridhar, Sana Yadi Reddy, Harish Shankar, and Balagam Venu are appointed as the advisors of the committee.
