In a college event, director Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that his film with Superstar Rajinikanth won’t deal with drugs. Lokesh’s films Kaithi, Master, Vikram, and Leo revolve around drug abuse and the need to create a drug-free society. But this time, the director is trying to attempt something different.
Lokesh Kanagaraj was asked if the film would be class or mass. Lokesh answered, “As it is Rajini sir’s film, it should definitely be a mass flick. At this moment, all I can say is that Thalaivar171 will be an out-and-out action entertainer.”
In previous interviews, Lokesh stated that he would showcase Rajinikanth in a grey-shaded role. Thalaivar 171 is a standalone film, and it is not part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). Sun Pictures will be bankrolling the film, and its tunes will be rendered by Anirudh Ravichander.
