Maharaj marks the debut of Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, in the world of cinema. The young actor has been waiting to make his debut for the longest time and he did it with the thriller Maharaj.
The film was supposed to stream on Netflix from June 14, but a court in Gujarat has posed a ban on the film, stating that Maharaj has scenes that disrespect Hindus in a big way. Due to this, the film did not stream on Netflix on June 14.
But now, the court has lifted the ban after hearing other petitions by the makers. Though the film has received mixed reviews, Junaid Khan has done well in his role.
He is being praised for his striking screen presence and the way he performed in the film. The film also has Jaideep Ahlawat and is a period drama with a gripping drama.
