There’s no stopping Mahesh Babu’s Murari. The Krishna Vamsi directorial was re-released on Friday (Aug 9) as Superstar’s birthday special treat and is having a dream run at the box office. Erasing all the existing re-release records, Murari registered a sensational opening with Rs 5.40 crore gross worldwide on day 1.

On day 2, Murari amassed a solid Rs 2 crore gross, taking its two-day global box office collection to Rs 7.40 crore. The Sunday trends are quite impressive, and the film is on its way to surpass the Rs 10 crore milestone by the end of its 3-day opening weekend. Mahesh Babu fans are having a gala time inside the single screens and multiplexes playing Murari.

Murari also features Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, Prakash Raj, Lakshmi, and other noted actors in key roles. The film was produced jointly by N Devi Prasad, Ramalingeswara Rao, and Gopi Nandigam. The chartbuster audio album composed by the veteran maestro Manisharma continues to enjoy cult status even after 2 decades of its release.
