Chiyaan Vikram’s PAN Indian film Thangalaan is set for a grand release on 15th August. The movie, directed by Pa. Ranjith, is based on a few real events in Kolar Gold Fields. Sizzling beauty Malavika Mohanan played a negative role in this period drama, and her portions from the trailer surprised many. In an interview, Malavika shared an interesting incident that happened during the film’s shoot.

Malavika said, “One day, I was getting ready for the shoot, and suddenly, I saw a big buffalo on the set. Ranjith sir looked at me and asked if I liked that buffalo. I said it was a nice buffalo. He asked me to go and sit on it. I thought he was telling me a joke. Again, he asked me to sit on it. I told him that I never sat on a buffalo. Finally, I went and sat on it. Ranjith sir didn’t tell me about that scene in advance. Hence, I was taken aback.”

Malavika Mohanan added, “If you think this is crazy, then you are wrong. That is the beginning of madness, and you will understand it when you watch the film.” Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Sampath Ram, and Hari Krishnan played important roles. Neelam Productions, Studio Green, and Jio Studios have jointly produced this flick. GV Prakash Kumar provided the tunes.
