Lokesh Kanagaraj’s previous outing, Leo, spearheaded by Thalapathy Vijay, was a box office blockbuster, but content-wise, the film received criticism. A section of the audience felt that Leo didn’t meet Lokesh’s standards. The director is now working on Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie with which he aims to deliver a solid entertainer.
Starting today, the makers will launch a series of posters featuring important characters. Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir has been roped in for a crucial role in this action drama, and his character poster was launched a while ago. He plays Dayal in this flick. Through Manjummel Boys, Soubin Shahir became a noted face in Tamil Nadu too, and his career is sure to take a giant leap with Coolie.
Coolie is set against the gold smuggling backdrop. Kalanithi Maran is bankrolling the film under the Sun Pictures banner. Sensational music director Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the tunes. Currently, the filming is happening in the beautiful Vizag city, and the makers have yet to decide on the release date.
