Released on June 27 amid unprecedented hype and expectations, Kalki 2898 AD, the mega budget sci-fi drama starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, has surpassed a memorable milestone on the 4th day of its release. The Nag Ashwin directorial has royally entered the rare Rs 500 crore club worldwide.

Kalki 2898 AD’s producers took to X on Sunday night and made the formal announcement about Kalki entering the Rs 500 crore club. Kalki is now the fifth highest grossing Telugu movie of all time, next only to Baahubali The Conclusion, RRR, Salaar Part 1, and Baahubali The Beginning. In an incredible feat, four of the top five all-time highest Telugu grossers feature Prabhas in the main lead.

Kalki is expected to enter the Rs 1,000 crore club by the end of its first week at the global box office. Whether or not the film manages to break into the Rs 1,500 crore elite club will be determined by the film’s box office performance starting Monday.

Also starring Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Sobhana, Disha Patani, Anna Ben, and Pasupathy in key roles, with Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Malavika Nair, and others in special cameos, Kalki 2898 AD is produced by veteran filmmaker Ashwini Dutt. Acclaimed Kollywood composer Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music.
