Versatile Indian actor Chiyaan Vikram was recently seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, a massive hit at the Tamil box office. He will be next working with Pa. Ranjith for his 61st film, which was formally launched recently.
The latest buzz is that Pa. Ranjith will be setting up the film’s plot in the Kolar Gold Fields backdrop during the 18th century and will deal with the mining workers’ lives there. Also, it is said that the flick would be shot in 3D exclusively.
Tentatively titled Vikram 61, this mega-budget biggie is bankrolled together by the reputed Studio Green banner and Neelam Productions. The film will have music by GV Prakash. The details of the other cast and crew will be coming out soon.
