Natural Star Nani has been fervently promoting his upcoming pan-Indian film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, an action-packed venture directed by Vivek Athreya, where Priyanka Arul Mohan stars as the female lead.

In a recent interview with Bollywood media, Nani addressed swirling rumours about his involvement in the sequel to Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’ epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. He clarified that he isn’t part of the project, noting that the speculation likely arose due to his close ties with Vyjayanthi Movies and Nag Ashwin, which he considers family. He confirmed that, as of now, there are no plans for his involvement.

On the other hand, director Nag Ashwin hinted that he might consider including Nani and Naveen Polishetty in the sequel if suitable roles emerge, though we’ll have to wait a few more months for any confirmation.

The sequel to Kalki 2898 AD is scheduled for release in the latter half of 2025, with Nag Ashwin currently working on the script, expected to be completed soon. Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD has been performing exceptionally well on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, with audiences captivated by the film.
