SS Rajamouli, the visionary director who elevated Telugu cinema to global acclaim, is celebrated for his masterful direction and creating epic films. It has been announced that the renowned OTT platform Netflix will release a docu-film on the genius behind blockbusters such as Eega, Baahubali: The Beginning, and RRR. Titled Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli, this inspiring documentary will premiere on August 2, 2024.
Today, Netflix unveiled a trailer that gives viewers a glimpse of the docu-film. The trailer features insights from celebrated Telugu actors Prabhas, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR, along with acclaimed producer Karan Johar and esteemed Hollywood director James Cameron.
MM Keeravaani and Rama Rajamouli also appear in this Netflix original. However, the docu-film is available only in English, according to Netflix, and it would be ideal if it were also released in Telugu. We will have to wait a bit longer to see if Netflix has plans for additional language versions.
The 1-hour and 14-minute documentary is produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, and Anupama Chopra, and directed by Raghav Khanna. Stay tuned for more updates.
