The recent horror comedy entertainer Munjya has set the cash registers ringing. Despite not featuring star actors, Munjya went on to collect 100 crore nett in India, which shows the craze for horror-comedy genre films among the audience. Up next, another horror comedy entertainer, Stree 2, fronted by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is arriving in cinemas on Independence Day.

Stree was a super hit at the box office, and hence, the expectations are sky-high for the second part. Sizzling beauty Tamannaah’s presence in the teaser grabbed the eyeballs. She will be making a cameo appearance in a song. The presence of star hero Varun Dhawan has also been confirmed. Not just Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan but also another star actor, Akshay Kumar, will be making a cameo in this much-anticipated flick, as per the latest reports in Bollywood media.

Akshay Kumar is known for his incredible comedy timing, and hence, the makers are said to have roped him in for a hilarious sequence. What’s interesting is that Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein is clashing with Stree 2 at the box office on August 15.

Amar Kaushik, who directed films like Stree, Bala, and Bhediya, helmed Stree 2. This Shraddha Kapoor starrer is the fifth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. With the intense and captivating teaser, the hype around Stree 2 soared to new heights, and trade experts believe that the film will take a bumper opening.
