Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is all set to enthrall audiences as Sumathi (SUM-80) in Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, which is releasing this Thursday worldwide to high expectations. Nag Ashwin directed this cinematic extravaganza.
As the release of Kalki 2898 AD approaches, here is an interesting tidbit about Deepika Padukone. Contrary to popular belief, Kalki 2898 AD is not Deepika’s first Telugu film. She initially made her Tollywood debut in 2009 with Love 4 Ever, directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee, featuring Randeep and Mrudula in lead roles.
Deepika was featured in a special song for the movie, and she even completed shooting for it. However, due to various reasons, the film was never released. Thus, her Telugu debut remained unseen by the audience. Now, after many years, she returned to Telugu cinema with a significant role in Kalki 2898 AD.
Joining Deepika and Prabhas is a stellar cast, including Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Pasupathy, Sobhana, Mrunal Thakur, Malavika Nair, and others. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, this epic film features music by Santhosh Narayanan.
Kalki 2898 AD promises an immersive cinematic experience, available in 2D, 3D, IMAX, and 4DX formats, and will be released in multiple languages, offering a multi-dimensional journey through time.
