Telugu film Ramabanam, featuring Gopichand and Jagapathi Babu as on-screen siblings, initially hit theaters in May but failed to resonate with the audience. Directed by Sriwass, the movie has now confirmed its debut on an OTT platform.
Originally, Sony LIV held the rights for the film’s OTT release, but they remained unresponsive until today. In an unexpected turn of events, Netflix has announced that the film will premiere on its platform on September 14, 2023.
The reasons behind this switch remain unclear, but what’s definite is that the movie is finally making its way to the world of online streaming. The other interesting part is, the Telugu movie will also be available in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages, exclusively on Netflix.
Dimple Hayathi takes on the leading role in this family drama, with notable appearances by Kushboo Sundar, Tarun Raj Arora, Nasser, Shubalekha Sudhakar, Sachin Khedekar, Kasi Vishwanath, Ali, Vennela Kishore, Sapthagiri, Satya, and Get-up Srinu. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, the film features music composed by Mickey J Meyer.
