Balagam has a special place in the hearts of Telugu audience. In a long time, it was the film that impressed all sections of audiences without having many commercial aspects. The movie marked the directorial debut of comedian Venu Yeldandi. With his first film, Venu grabbed eyeballs and tugged the heartstrings.
The director’s second film is Yellamma, and last year, Dil Raju formally announced that the movie would be fronted by Nani. However, various media reports stated that Nani opted out of the project as he wasn’t impressed with the final draft. Later, speculations stated that Nithiin was the front-runner for the protagonist role.
Today, Dil Raju announced that Nithiin would be the lead actor in Yellamma. The announcement was made at the launch event of Dil Raju Dreams, a new wing of SVC, founded to support aspiring filmmakers. With this, all the rumors about Yellamma have been put to rest.
The makers are planning to bring the film to the theatres during Dusshera 2025. Yellamma will go on floors in February 2025. With this, Nithiin will have three releases in a span of one year, including Robinhood and Thammudu.
