Suriya’s Kanguva is one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie will feature the star actor in dual roles and is scheduled to hit the big screens on October 10th. Siruthai Siva, who has a knack for commercial potboilers, is the director of this tent-pole film. Studio Green, in association with UV Creations, is bankrolling this fantasy action drama on a massive budget.
In a recent interview, K.E. Gnanavel Raja, founder of Studio Green, revealed that Kanguva is a two-part movie. The producer said, “We wrote the story for part 1 and part 2. We finished the first part. We have yet to begin production of the sequel. We took 185 days to complete the shoot of Kanguva 1. The second part will start at the end of 2025 or early 2026. We are planning to release Kanguva 2 in 2027 January or Summer.”
K.E. Gnanavel Raja added, “If part 1 is staged neatly, part 2 will be received like anything. We have something exciting for the audience at the end of the first part to hook them for the sequel.” The makers seem to have big plans for the Suriya starrer, and we need to see how the first part will be received. Bollywood beauty Disha Patani plays the female lead, while another Hindi actor, Bobby Deol, takes on the antagonist role. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.
