The 70th National Film Awards have been announced, honoring the best films and cinematic achievements of the year 2022. The awards were revealed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) during a press conference in New Delhi.
Several actors, technicians, and films were recognised for their exceptional work in their respective fields. In Telugu cinema, the Best Film Award was swept by Karthikeya 2, starring Nikhil Siddhartha and directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The team expressed their overwhelming gratitude for this recognition from the government.
Upon its release, the pan-Indian movie created a sensation not only in the Telugu states but also in North India, making it one of the highest-grossing films of 2022 and a significant success in Nikhil’s career.
The awardees will be honored by President Droupadi Murmu in a ceremony scheduled for October 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.
