There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Tirupati Laddu since Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu commented on its sanctity. A few lab reports specified that Tirupati Laddu is adulterated with animal fat and fish oil, which created a massive social media uproar. This topic is just not confined to Telugu states, and it has become a national issue. Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan said there is a need to constitute a Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board to avoid such mistakes in the future.

The investigation is underway, with the Andhra government forming an SIT (Special Investigation Team) to probe into the issue. In the pre-release event of Karthi’s Sathyam Sundaram (Meiyazhagan in Tamil), a meme on Laddu was displayed, and Karthi was asked to respond. Karthi said, “We should not talk about Laddu now. It is a sensitive topic. Let us keep that topic aside.” This clip has now gone viral and has drawn Pawan Kalyan’s notice, too, who yelled at Karthi and team.

Pawan Kalyan said, “People are making fun of Laddu. I saw a cinema function where it was said that Laddu is a sensitive topic. Don’t you ever say that? Don’t you ever dare to say such things? I respect you as actors, but when it comes to Sanatana Dharma, you have to think a hundred times before saying a word.”

Karthi swiftly responded to Pawan’s comments and apologized. The Oopiri actor took to his social media and wrote, “Dear Pawan Kalyan sir, with deep respects to you, I apologize for any unintended misunderstanding caused. As a humble devotee of Lord Venkateswara, I always hold our traditions dear. Best regards.”
