Another day, another historic milestone for Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s blockbuster pan-India action drama, Pushpa 2: The Rule. On its 15th day, the film scripted history by entering the rare Rs 1,500 crore club. With this humongous feat in just 14 days, Pushpa 2: The Rule has emerged as the fastest Indian movie to join this elite league.
With a cumulative gross of a staggering Rs 1,508 crore, Pushpa 2: The Rule is next only to the two other all-time highest-grossing Indian movies, Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 2070.30 Cr) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (Rs 1,786.06 crore). While Pushpa 2 surpassing Baahubali 2’s lifetime collections seems a distant possibility, the Sukumar directorial must perform exceedingly well in other overseas markets in the future to beat Dangal’s mammoth lifetime business.
Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna played lead roles in Pushpa 2: The Rule, while young actress Sreeleela sizzled in the Kissik dance number. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for this Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings joint production.
