In 2022, Applause Entertainment unveiled plans for a three-season series titled Gandhi, based on Ramachandra Guha’s acclaimed works Gandhi Before India and Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the series stars Pratik Gandhi in the lead role.
To mark Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the makers have officially announced that legendary composer AR Rahman has joined the project as the music director, bringing even more prestige to the series.
Currently in production, Gandhi also features an ensemble cast including Bhamini Oza, Tom Felton, Libby Mai, Molly Wright, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, and Simon Lennon in pivotal roles. The series is slated for a 2025 release, with more updates to come.
