Superstar Rajinikanth’s ongoing action entertainer, Coolie, is one of the most eagerly awaited biggies, which will be hitting theaters next year. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is buzzed to be scheduled for a Pongal release in January next year. The film’s team has already wrapped up two crucial schedules so far.

As per the latest updates, Coolie’s third schedule kick-started in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, yesterday. Apparently, the unit will be camping in this picturesque beach city to shoot for at least 40 days. Rajini and Shruti Haasan are taking part in the shoot along with other prominent stars. As revealed in the announcement teaser, Coolie is set against the gold smuggling mafia backdrop, and Vizag is undoubtedly the right choice to shoot, given its sprawling coastal area and the iconic fishing harbor.

Coolie is being produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the soundtrack. The film also features Mahendran, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John, and Kishore Kumar in pivotal roles. Stay tuned for further updates.
