Kollywood biggie Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, is scheduled to hit the screens on July 12, 2024. The movie, directed by Shankar, is a sequel to the 1996 Kollywood industry hit Indian. There is a solid buzz for this vigilante action thriller in Tamil. The movie boasts a massive cast, including Rakul Preet Singh. In a recent interview, the actress spoke about her role.
Rakul Preet Singh said, “Indian 2 is indeed one of the special films in my career. It is special not because of the big names attached to it but due to the way my characterization is written. I play a headstrong and confident girl who knows what she wants exactly. There are many similarities between my role in Indian 2 and my personal life. I can’t disclose more at this point in time.”
Rakul said it was her delight to work with the master storyteller Shankar. The actress further added that she was able to pull off the character by picking up the nuances that Shankar has shared with her. Indian 2 also has Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Brahmanandam, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, and Vivek in crucial roles.
