Audiences always pine for crazy collaborations in movies, so directors try to choose novel combinations to satiate them. One such crazy combination is likely on the horizon now. After the blockbuster hit OMG2, director Amit Rai is working on a period-action film that features Shahid Kapoor as the protagonist.

Shahid Kapoor plays Chhatrapati Shivaji’s role but the film is not a biopic on the Maratha ruler but deals with a key chapter in Chhatrapati’s life. According to Bollywood media reports, handsome hunk Rana Daggubati is set to be a part of this film, and he will be featured in the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The word is that the movie is on the lines of a jailbreak by Shivaji when he was in Aurangazeb’s imprisonment.

The makers are in talks with our mighty Bhallaladeva for this role, but he has yet to give his nod. If Rana accepts the role, it will be very good to see him play a character that is a blend of arrogance and a vicious nature. Wakaoo Films will produce this crazy project along with Dil Raju, and it will go on floors this year-end.
