It was Ravi Teja who introduced Harish Shankar as a director with Shock. Though the movie didn’t perform well, it received a good response when it aired on television. Ravi Teja and Harish were lauded for attempting an out-of-the-box concept. The duo’s second film, Mirapakay, became a box-office superhit. However, the actor and director received heavy criticism for their third outing, Mr. Bachchan.

The action drama, which is the official remake of Ajay Devgn’s classic hit Raid, bombed at the ticket windows. The unnecessary inclusion of commercial elements and a prolonged love track sidelined the story, and due to this, Mr. Bachchan bit the dust. The movie will now make its OTT debut on 12th September on Netflix.

The theatrical window is four weeks. Given its poor performance in theatres, it will be interesting to see how Mr. Bachchan fares on the digital screens.
