Famous Telugu music director Raj has breathed his last today. He, along with Koti, composed music for many films, and their duo is popularly known as Raj-Koti. The composer slipped in the washroom and fell down, leading to a heart attack.
He was taken to the hospital immediately, and the doctors confirmed that Raj was brought dead. Raj’s full name is Thotakura Somaraju. The music director was 68 at the time of his death, and his residence is in Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
Some of the best works of the Raj-Koti duo involve Yamudiki Mogudu, Khaidi No. 786, Kodhama Simham, Karthavyam, Muta Mesthri, Govinda Govinda, and Hello Brother. Some of Raj’s solo works are Sisindri, Ramudochadu, Mrugham, Premante Idhera, and Chinni Chinni Aasa. Raj is survived by his three daughters, Deepthi, Divya, and Swetha.
