Eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s much-talked-about political dramas, Vyooham and Shapadham, have been mired in several controversies and legal cases that led to the postponement of their theatrical release over the past couple of months. Vyooham was supposed to hit theaters today (Feb 23). However, RGV took to X last night and shared the news about the latest postponement.
“VYOOHAM film and SHAPADHAM film are being postponed to March 1st and March 8th but this time it is NOT BECAUSE OF LOKESH ..It is due to certain technicalities , wanting to do more promotion and also because we are getting better preferred theatres on those dates (sic),” RGV tweeted. He also unveiled a couple of provoking posters that resemble the two famous opposition leaders and alliance partners, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
Both Vyooham and Shapadham are centred around the political journey of the current Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Rangam fame Ajmal will be seen in the role of YS Jagan, while young actress Manasa Radhakrishnan will be essaying YS Bharati’s role. Dasari Kiran Kumar has bankrolled the movies on Ramadhuta Creations banner.
