The makers of Prabhas’ highly-anticipated pan-India gangster drama, Salaar, are yet to make a formal announcement regarding the postponement of the film’s theatrical release. Amid an intense buzz that the Prashanth Neel directorial will be hitting theaters either in December or January as a Sankranthi festive treat, here’s a latest development that will strengthen the postponement news.
As per the latest updates, several multiplex chains in the USA have started to delist the film, cancel the tickets booked in advance and also initiate refunds to all the fans who purchased the tickets for the FDFS and the last weekend of September.
Apparently, more than 20,000 tickets were sold across 400 plus locations till yesterday and an approximate gross of $700K was collected from the advance bookings, indicating that Salaar was all set to storm theaters across the USA with a guaranteed $1 million opening weekend, with more than 3 weeks for the release.
Needless to say, this unexpected delay in Salaar’s release has come across as a huge shocker to all the Prabhas fans. They are now hoping that the issues will be resolved soon and clarity will emerge at the earliest to pave the way for a smooth release.
