Salman Khan firing case – Accused Anuj Thapan commits suicide in police custody

The news about the gunfire outside Bollywood Megastar Salman Khan’s residence stirred a huge discussion. As per the latest reports, one of the arms suppliers in the firing case committed suicide in police custody. Anuj Thapan is the person’s name, and he was 32 at the time he took this extreme step.

Anuj Thapan went to a toilet that was attached to the police lockup and attempted suicide. He was immediately rushed to the state-run GT hospital, but he was declared dead by doctors. Anuj Thapan, along with Sonu Subhash Chander, allegedly supplied weapons that were used to threaten Salman Khan.

The cause of the death is still unknown, and the investigation is underway. During this incident, Anuj Thapan was present along with 10 other inmates, and five policemen guarded them. Anuj’s brother Abhishek alleged that it was a murder by police and that his brother wasn’t the kind of person who would commit suicide.
