Satya Dev, one of Tollywood’s talented actors, is currently promoting his upcoming pan-Indian film Zebra, directed by Eeashvar Karthic, featuring Daali Dhananjaya in a key role.
In a recent interview, Satya Dev was asked about his scenes being cut from S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR. Taken by surprise, he revealed that only he and the team were aware of his involvement in the film. Reflecting on the experience, he said that working on RRR was like a “masterclass” and a valuable learning experience during the days he spent shooting. When asked why he hadn’t mentioned it before, he replied, “It’s my respect towards the team.”
He explained that the filmmakers decided his scenes would lengthen the film, which led to their removal. Satya humbly accepted the decision, demonstrating his modesty and reluctance to seek attention. Although he declined to discuss his role in detail, it’s reported that around 16 minutes of his footage were trimmed during editing.
Movie enthusiasts feel his contribution deserves to be recognised and suggest that the team release the deleted scenes so audiences can see his work. Fans will have to wait and see if his performance ultimately receives the acknowledgment it deserves.
