The much-awaited trailer of Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee has released on YouTube. Directed by Raj Mehta, the Hindi movie, a remake of the Malayalam hit film Driving Licence, has Emraan Hashmi in a crucial role.
The trailer looks engaging. Going by the trailer, Vijay (Akshay Kumar) is a superstar in the industry and Om Prakash Agarwal is his die-hard fan and also a transport sub inspector. All Om Prakash wants is a selfie with his favourite star and in the meantime, Vijay, who wants a driving licence, loses his patience and lashes out at the officer. Om Prakash’s ego hurts and says Vijay to go through all the tests like a commoner to get a licence and the star agrees to do so. Did Vijay get a passport? We need to wait until February 24, 2023, to know what happened between them next.
Compared to the original, Selfiee is more vibrant and colourful. The well-cut trailer packs the powerful performances of both Akshay and Emran. The visuals and score are neat.
Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha are the female leads in Selfiee. Dharma Productions and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films along with Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames produced this movie on a massive scale. Azeem Dayani is the composer of this movie.
