Trade analysts initially predicted that Pushpa 2: The Rule, headlined by Icon star Allu Arjun, has a huge chance of entering the prestigious 1000-crore gross club. Pushpa: The Rise collected more than 350 crores gross at the worldwide box office, and the best part is that Sukumar’s directorial earned over 100 crores nett from Hindi.

But Pushpa 2 won’t have smooth sailing in the North and Karnataka regions since two biggies are set to clash with this Allu Arjun starrer. Already, it is known that the massive multistarrer Singham Again is scheduled for release on 15 August 2024. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles.

Now, Kannada star hero Shiv Rajkumar’s new film Bhairathi Ranagal is also arriving on the same day, posing a challenge to Icon Star. Bhairathi Ranagal is the prequel to the blockbuster Mufti. The point that needs to be noted here is that Singham Again and Bhairathi Ranagal are crazy projects that audiences are looking forward to.

For Pushpa 2 to cross 1000 crores gross, it must do exceptionally well in the Hindi heartland. We need to see how Pushpa 2 will face this intense competition. The film stars Rashmika as the female lead and is currently in the production stage.
