Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express record in danger?
Published on Aug 7, 2024 3:00 am IST

Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express, directed by Rohit Shetty, was a massive blockbuster, and it attained industry hit status too. The action comedy entertainer had paid previews a day before its release. Through these special shows, the SRK and Deepika Padukone starrer earned around 6.75 crores nett in India, which is the highest for any film. It looks like SRK’s record will soon be broken by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2.

As per reports, Stree 2 makers are planning to go ahead with paid previews on August 14th evening. The horror comedy already has a massive buzz among the audience. The songs and trailer have hit the right chord, and a terrific opening is already on the cards. Hence, the makers are said to have planned these special screenings to capitalize on the tremendous hype.

If the showcasing of paid previews happens at a big level, Stree 2 is sure to overtake the record of Chennai Express. If the reports are good, the film will go bonkers at the ticket windows. Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana played vital roles. Amar Kaushik directed this flick, which is a part of Maddock Supernatural Universe.
