Sivakarthikeyan’s latest release, Amaran, is going bonkers at the ticket windows. The movie is based on Indian Army martyr Major Mukund Varadarajan’s life and heroics. Sai Pallavi is the female lead. Amaran is already the highest-grossing film in Sivakarthikeyan’s career.
Everyone expected the film to slow down with Kanguva’s release, but shockingly, the Suriya starrer received negative reviews all over. Due to this, Amaran has once again become the top choice for filmgoers. The biopic had a fantastic third weekend by registering phenomenal occupancies.
Amaran is on the verge of crossing Rs. 300 crores gross, a stupendous feat that was earlier achieved only by very few Tamil heroes. The movie is a blockbuster in Telugu too. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is jointly produced by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, and Vivek Krishnan. GV Prakash Kumar composed the tunes.
