Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi series, recently responded to veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his role as Shaktimaan, after he criticized her father, Shatrughan Sinha.

The controversy stems from a 2019 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), where Sonakshi failed to answer a question related to the epic Ramayana. Mukesh Khanna reportedly blamed Shatrughan Sinha for not teaching his daughter about the Ramayana.

In response, Sonakshi took to Instagram and expressed her disappointment. She reportedly reminded Mukesh Khanna that there were two other contestants on the show who also couldn’t answer the question, yet he chose to single her out. Sonakshi pointed out that forgetting such details was a human tendency and suggested that Mukesh Khanna had overlooked the lessons of forgiveness and compassion taught by Lord Ram.

Referring to the epic, Sonakshi highlighted that if Lord Ram could forgive Manthara, Kaikeyi, and even Ravan, Mukesh Khanna should be able to let go of such a trivial incident. She added that while she didn’t seek his forgiveness, she urged him to stop repeatedly bringing up the topic to gain attention at the expense of her family.

Sonakshi also addressed Mukesh Khanna’s comments about her values and upbringing. She reportedly clarified that it was because of the values instilled by her father that she responded respectfully, despite his distasteful remarks.
