Spark, the third song from Kollywood star Vijay’s upcoming action thriller, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), was released this evening amid high expectations. The makers used the de-aging technique for Vijay, and the star hero’s young and charming avatar pleasantly surprised his fans.
However, the Spark song is getting mixed reactions from netizens. The Yuvan Shankar Raja composition, sung by Yuvan himself along with Vrusha Balu and penned by Ramajogayya Sastry, lacks the spark required to enthrall fans and music lovers.
After the two well-composed songs that were released earlier, Yuvan has disappointed his and Thalapathy fans with a bland and uninspiring dance number this time around. Vijay’s looks and his trademark dance moves are the only saving grace in Spark. Young heroine Meenakshi Chaudhary appears alongside Vijay in this peppy track.
The Greatest of All Time is being directed by Venkat Prabhu, and it also features Prasanth, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Jayaram, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, and others in key roles. Produced under the AGS Entertainment banner, the film is scheduled for its world theatrical release on September 5.
