Ravi Teja’s Venky is a favorite film for many movie buffs. This action comedy thriller, directed by Sreenu Vaitla, features Sneha as the leading lady. The film was a box office success, but it gained cult status over the years. There are separate fans for the hilarious train episode, and there won’t be a day without a meme involving this sequence. Many tried to recreate its magic but didn’t succeed.

In a recent interview, the director said many were not okay with the train sequence. Sreenu Vaitla said, “I never thought the train episode would receive this much love from the audience. We didn’t anticipate such a mammoth response. But many opposed the sequence while we were shooting. They were of the opinion that the episode was very lengthy. Also, they had doubts since the entire episode would happen in one compartment.”

Sreenu Vaitla continued, “Seeing the overwhelming response to the train episode, I sometimes feel that I would have done a lot better job using modern technology. But again, I feel what we did for Venky was perfect at that time. We didn’t have any scene papers for most of the train scenes, and the dialogues were written on the spot.”
