Director Sriwass is currently participating in the promotions of his next film Rama Banam. The movie, which stars Gopichand and Dimple Hayathi in the lead roles, is up for a grand release on May 5, 2023. In one of the interviews, the director stated something interesting.

Sriwass said that after his blockbuster Lakshyam, he was supposed to direct a film under the Dil Raju banner. Sriwass said that he narrated a line to Dil Raju, which highly impressed the latter, and added that Dil Raju thought to cast NTR in the movie. The director said that he, along with BVS Ravi, worked on the script for a few months.

Sriwass then stated that he gave the final narration to NTR, who was also pleased with the story. However, after a few months, NTR felt the story wouldn’t suit him and conveyed the same to me, said Sriwass. This came as a shock to me, noted the director. Maharshi, Srimanthudu, and Shathamanam Bhavathi wouldn’t have come if I had done a film with that script, stated Sriwass.

Sriwass further added that he even gave the narration to Pawan Kalyan, but due to some reasons, this combination, too, didn’t work. On the release day of Srimanthudu, Dil Raju Garu called me and said that he missed out on a perfect script, concluded Sriwass.
